About Pierpan Dentistry
For over two decades, families across Southeastern North Carolina have trusted Pierpan Dentistry for kind, caring, and comprehensive dental care. Our practice is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Dr. Henry Pierpan and Dr. Monica M. Pierpan and operates out of Hampstead, NC. We are proud to welcome patients from communities across the greater Wilmington area. These include Topsail Island, Surf City, Porters Neck, and Figure Eight Island.
It is our goal to ensure you and your family receive comfortable, stress-free dental care. We offer a complete range of family, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry services. Our offices are outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, and our team stays current with modern practices by participating in continuing education courses.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Henry J. Pierpan
Dr. Henry J. Pierpan III was raised in Williamstown, Massachusetts (in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains), and received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, New Hampshire, before attending UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He received his D.D.S. degree from UNC in 1993. After practicing in Castle Hayne, he joined his wife in their dental practice in Hampstead in 1996. He also earned his M.B.A. from UNCW in 1998. Dr. Henry is passionate about providing his patients with high-quality, state-of-the-art dental care. He completed his surgical residency for implant placement in Washington, D.C. in 2007. He is a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Henry is a retired U.S. Navy captain and served as a Dental Corps officer at Camp LeJeune with over 30 years of military service. Henry is a charter member and past president of the Hampstead Kiwanis Club. He enjoys his work in the community while serving on the board for NC Parks & Recreation. Dr. Henry enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and studying the martial art of Hapkido with his two sons. He is also an adult leader for Troop 19 Boy Scouts in Wilmington.
Dr. Monica M. Pierpan
Dr. Monica M. Pierpan was raised in Seminole, Florida, and did her undergraduate biology studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received her D.D.S. degree in 1994 from UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill. After moving to Wilmington and practicing in Wrightsville Beach and Elizabethtown, she opened Pierpan Dentistry in Hampstead in 1995. Dr. Pierpan’s goal in her practice is to treat every patient as family, and she always strives to be gentle and caring while providing the highest quality of dental care. She is a member of the Port City Study Club, which is committed to dental excellence in all areas.
Drs. Henry and Monica are both members of the American Dental Association, Tri-County Dental Society, and the NC Dental Society.
Drs. Henry and Monica live in Scott’s Hill with their two sons and two dogs. They enjoy boating and camping as a family as well as traveling to visit family and friends.
Dr. Mark Castor
Dr. Mark Castor was raised in Cary, North Carolina, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He then went on to receive his D.D.S. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1991. After dental school, he opened a private practice in Cary, NC, where he practiced family dentistry from 1991-2016. In addition to his practice in Cary, he opened a second office in Ramseur, NC, in 2011. In early 2018, he, his wife, and three children chose to follow their dream of living on the coast and moved to Hampstead. Dr. Castor enjoys all water-related activities, golfing, and yard work.
Dr. Andrew Troupes
Dr. Andrew Troupes was raised in Charlotte, NC. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he became a life long Tar Heel fan and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2012. Dr. Andrew received his D.M.D degree in 2017 from East Carolina University and has since made the Wilmington area his home. He is passionate about being a lifelong student in order to provide the highest quality dentistry in a comfortable environment. In his free time, Dr. Andrew enjoys spoiling his dog, golfing, the beach, and traveling.
